Via VegasChatter, a report on a poker app for mobile devices:
Four tables, one time. Now at a mobile device near you. Online poker is back in the U.S. with not one, but two legal options and a third on the way. But, the real money is only for those within Nevada’s state lines, for now. All other law-abiding Americans who can’t make it to a brick-and-mortar casino continue to be relegated to going all-in for play chips on sites like Golden Nugget’s Free Poker or Zynga. Phil Ivey, poker pro and former but pretty much unscathed Full Tilt Poker rep has launched a new option with features other than just “free poker.” Ivey Poker debuted itself as a Facebook app over the summer after building a team of site pros. The added benefit to Ivey Poker was the ability to
learnpurchase training videos from the pros and (hopefully) improve your game instead of just pushing play chips around. An Ivey Poker App for mobile devices has now been released which features the same free-play and video instruction, with the unique option of multi-tabling. Users may want to stick to tablets for now as the reviews point to a sluggish experience on at least the smaller iPhone.
The Ivey Poker App is free in both the Apple Store and Google Play. Those pro vids, of course, still cost money. But, at least those bathroom breaks don’t have to keep you from the tables, anymore.
